One of the 800 doctors I've seen in the last two years (a sports medicine doctor, if it matters) said that a lot of the population is considered vitamin D deficient based on the current standards; in his opinion, the standards need to be adjusted. I spoke to another doctor (my psychiatrist) about it and he didn't necessarily agree with the first doctor that the standards need to be lower, but said it can't really hurt to take it, which I do. He recommended it for my energy levels, though I have not really seen a difference after several months (maybe I'm not taking enough, though). My physical therapist recommended screening for vitamin D because of how it can impact bone health, which is how I ended up talking to the sports medicine doctor about it. I'm curious about this now too :)
I have issues with vitamin d
I've seen a lot of the other ladies on here talking about a Vitamin D deficiency and I have one too. It seems awfully common in this community for them to be unrelated.
That's a good question, and I don't know the answer I have a vitamin D deficiency also.
