Time From Consultation To Laparoscopy
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello ladies,
I have my consultation (ENGLAND - NHS) on Tuesday. I've been referred through urgent due to small possibility it (ovarian cyst) could be cancerous. But From the ultrasound they think it's more likely a chocolate cyst.

Wondering how long I might expect to wait from consultation to the surgery. The

cyst is 8cm and over the last
3 weeks has been causing daily issues.

I was really surprised, at my consultation was told it would be 2-3 months which I thought was good and then got a phone call to give me an appointment which was 2-3 weeks!! Think it depends on where you are etc but fingers crossed your as lucky as I was.

Thank you that answer is really helpful. I'm hoping it's weeks rather than months. F not days as I'm struggling.

Different symptoms each day- have felt flu like and viral all day. Feeling sorry for myself xx

Thanks ladies! I've been told I'll probably get an MRI booked in or at my appt tomorrow firstly, but not sure about waiting times for laparoscopy. I'm considering going private if it's months!!!
