Did anyone take their partners to their first appointment with the gynae possibly about a laparoscopy? would that just be too weird? I feel like he'd have a better understanding of it if he came but I'm not sure if it'd just be weird as its a gynaecologist not just a normal doctor. Sorry its my first appointment and I don't know what to expect.

They get a better understanding when they know whats going on and what the doctor says. I take mine when I can

Best wishes xx

Yes, it was weird at first but my husband came with me to my consult with the surgeon/RE and then almost all my followup appointments. He surprised me because he asked a lot of questions and made sure all my concerns were addressed. He was also in with me during the pelvic exams and ultrasounds.
Edited to add: He also came with me to the GYN before I knew I had endo and asked questions there, too. It was an appt about my pain and whether we needed to see someone for infertility as well. But that GYN didn't think I had endo...
