Hello everyone!
Guess I'll start at the beginning...towards the end of March, I had what I thought was a bladder infection. I took antibiotics, which seemed to clear everything up. Symptoms resumed about four days later, and consisted of frequency and urgency. I was put on another round of antibiotics, as there was bacteria found in a urinalysis. The symptoms came back. I was put on another round of antibiotics despite a negative urine culture this time. I developed a horrible case of… read more
Your answers are always so, so helpful. Thank you. Yeah, my symptoms never seem to worsen after acidic food. I don't notice an increase in pain or urgency.
My triggers are sit ups, constipation, and my period. All of which I imagine, would aggravate possible scar tissue. I'm really trying to put the lap off for as long as I can until I can afford a specialist. From what I've read, the wrong doctor can make you worse. My gyno said "you go see a specialist after your fourth lap" I don't think so lol I suspect that if you're in the hands of a skilled surgeon, that number could perhaps be halved. She proposed doing a lap and then putting me on Lupron regardless of what she found. And then she thought excision and ablation were the same thing...
Yesssss. My endo got more severe and i had uti symptoms but no uti. No urine culture advised i had growth... please go to a gyn or have urologist dr do a lap... my primary care provider and urologist thot i had IC. I didnt. I had a cystoscopy and discovered my uterer was clogged .. why was it clogged? I found out 10 months later.. that i had a lot of endo. Im just sayin.... one day a feeling of urgency to pee came on... and that started my hell.
I had the exact same problems as you about 2 years ago. I saw a urologist and went through all the tests. One day, after months of uti's and other bladder problems, I forgot to take my bc and I felt better, so I didn't take it for a week. I had no more symptoms by the end of that week. I called my gyn and right away she switched my bc and I haven't had a uti since.
Thank you very much! I just requested to join <3
You are very welcome. Your doctor said to go to a specialist after your fourth lap? RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION! A skilled surgeon will be sure to excise the disease and will also work with a team of surgeons including colorectal, urological, and general if there is disease found in other locations.
Constipation also aggravates my bladder symptoms. The thing that really helps is pelvic floor PT which I can no longer afford. I called one place that was recommended, and I was told the Medicare rate is $150 an hour. Yeah right. I cannot afford $300 a week. The only place that takes my insurance has someone who really messed me up when I went to her several years ago. Instead of using a regimen to help, she "treats symptoms as they come up." From what I have experienced, that doesn't work.
Please let me know how you're doing.
