My mom had a full hysterectomy and she doesnt experience any symptoms from the endo (that doesnt include symptoms from the procedure) but that was only because in her case the endo wss only in her fallopian tubes.

Everything HQuatt said is spot on. Endo, by definition, is those implants/uterine like lining in places OTHER THAN your uterus, so removing your uterus does nothing for endo. It helps other conditions confused with endo, though!

Excision surgery is your best bet to get rid of endo pain.

Pro, it helps with symptoms from pelvic congestion. Con, it doesn't matter to the Endo whether you have a uterus or even ovaries. If your Endo is on any other part of your anatomy, such as bladder, colon, intestines, liver, kidneys, or diaphragm, hysterectomy won't do much (or anything). Hysterectomy was 4 years ago, Endo has been back to wreaking havoc on my life for over a year in other parts of my body. My advice is to be sure that a hysterectomy is right for you. If you have adenomyosis or severe cysts or fybroids in the uterus, or if you have pelvic congestion syndrome, or any of the other things that tag along with Endo and are causing you pain in the uterus, then it makes sense as an option. If you don't have any of those then try to look into other options before taking that route. Obviously many of us have been down the hysterectomy road, but we've each had different reasons, just as I'm sure you do. Most important is to be sure it's what you want and you're ready for that before you agree to it. Don't let someone else pressure you! Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
