Is First Period After Laparoscopy The Most Painful?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Laparoscopic surgery was about 2 weeks ago. My next menstrual cycle is due any day now. I've been bouncing off the walls with mood swings. Dr. said first period after surgery may be heavier and more painful than usual. Was your first period after surgery the heaviest & most painful? Did you experience worsening mood swings/sensitivity? How to cope/remedy this?

I had robotic laparoscopy this May and had my first period in Mid June after the surgery.
The cramps were much more painful with heavy bleeding. I had to take painkiller which I do not normally take as the pain before surgery was still bearable. Hopefully my 2nd period which is due soon in Mid July to be less painful and lighter bleeding.
