I did lupron for 9 months, the side effects are terrible. The unbearable hot flashes, night sweats, the weight gain, and the back pain. I had a hysterectomy at 24, all I have now is a right ovary. I still have severe endo pain, and have had many surgeries since my total hysterectomy. I don't think any of these things help. Sorry to say. That's the honest to god truth. I have been suffering since 2004, and didn't get diagnosed until 2009 via laparoscopic surgery. And had 8 more surgeries after that, 6 of them were last year. After they tried to kill me during my hysterectomy.

I took lupron. It's medical induced menopause. I had hot flashes and mood swing's for 6 months. I remember swearing each month I wouldn't go back for the next shot. It was worth it in the end. I didn't get another surgery. It is a good choice if you have a good support team and a stable life and job. (You maybe a little crazy) by stopping your periods you body doesn't make the endometrin and you heal. You can also ask about taking pill b.c. and just skip the "sugar pills" (that will stop periods too)

I had the lap surgery in July. They found that I had severe endo and couldn't remove it all based on where it was located, so now I'm going on Lupron for 6 months. After that, I'll be on birth control and skip periods each month. This first week has been super painful, bleeding a lot. I'm told that's normal as there's a surge or hormones in the beginning. I'm hopeful this stage will be over soon and it'll all be worth it!
