I am new to this and am trying to find relief. The doctor started me on birth control pills but they haven't helped. We have talked about now either starting Lupron or doing the laprascopy and confirming the diagnoses of endometriosis and excising any spots he finds. I have read the reviews on Lupron and some comments and they are terrifying, especially with me only being 21. What do you all recommend?
I had the lap a few months ago. Once they got in there, they discovered I have severe endo and were unable to remove it all based on how close it was to other organs. They also removed a cyst that came back with abnormal cells. For me, I ended up having to do Lupron even though I had the lap, but I do still believe the surgery is worth it for getting a full diagnosis.
I had the same thoughts
Laparoscopy - I've done a few of them over the years. My doctor recommends Lupron but I've been against it for years with everything I've read on it. I'm sure it has helped plenty of people and I'm really happy for those that it did. For me personally, I wouldn't do it.
Laparoscopy - I struggled with all sorts of meds for 2 and a half years and nothing helped
Lap! Find a good excision specialist. It's possible that a lap will really help! I refuse to do lupron. It may cover up the symptoms temporarily, but with the risk of really messing you up, it's just not worth it.
