How Do You Prevent Yeast Infections And UTI's After Sex??
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

I practice good hygiene and pee after sex, but I still get painful infections EVERY time!! What the heck?! Does anyone else have this problem and what do you do to prevent it?

Never sleep with underwear on. It breeds bacteria. And wear cotton underwear, never synthetic or G-strings! And pee straight after sex!

I actually find a lot of the "feminine hygiene" products aren't so great for keeping things hygienic down there. My doctor told me from an early age to only wash thoroughly with water or plain, mild, unscented soap downstairs, this keeps your natural ph balance and good bacteria stable while still keeping you clean. Avoid baths where possible too! And make sure your other half is using the same on his penis too. Unfortunately some people are just incredibly sensitive down there.

For the yeast infection try using soaps or washes that are perfume free :)

I don't get them every time but am more prone to them. I have developed a habit of taking pro biotics, and drinking all natural ( Tastes disgusting) cranberry juice from a health foods store every time I feel anything coming on down there. Probiotics are good for my gut in general as I also struggle with IBS as a result of my ENDO, and I can feel the juice working within hours. Good luck!
