So I've always had back pain around my period but recently I have been getting it every day (even off of my period). Anyone else have this problem? Sometimes it hurts so bad, paracetamol doesn't really work.
Yep!! I used to have bad back pain before my periods for a few years... then one day in last july it wouldnt stop. Started feeling like my guts were being squeezed after awhile. Saw 2 ortho drs... both said my spine is fine... saw 2 chiropractors that couldn't really help me and told me to get my girl parts checked out.... finally the pain started wrapping around my front and my right knee started hurting and now my knee always hurts. I had a transvaginal ultrasound.. found 6 cysts and one that busted. Had a laparascopy done to get rid of cysts... he found extensive endo.. took my right tube..left ovary... and my appendix almost ruptured so they had to call a surgeon to remove it. My back pain has gotten wayyyy worse since the surgery 7 weeks ago... i have horrible cramps everyday. I called the office and they said its normal to hurt this bad. My advise is... please go to a gyn dr. If u have already found that the back pain was already related to your periods... then tell your gyn. Make a list of your symptoms... dont wait. Hopefully she does a transvaginal ultrasound. Last year i told my old gyn about my back pain... and that ortho drs are saying my back is fine...she said my back pain wouldnt be from my girl parts... well i left her and went to another gyn and the first thing he did was a transvaginal ultrasound. If u have any questions anytime please write me (Email address can only be seen by the question and answer creators) take care hun
yeah the right side of my back/hip/knee all hurt. makes me feel almost like i cant walk anymore. since the surgery i have menstrual cramps everyday. you need to find a pelvic floor specialist. i just found one. cant see her until sept 29th. ugh.
Im having this trouble too. My back, hips and knees. Its so hard to get comfortable because of it
I'm sorry to hear that you are in so much pain :( I had a n operation about 4 months ago to remove one very large cyst and another smaller one. They thought I would loses an ovary but they managed to save it. Since then, the pain has lessened although, I still get all the symptoms. My back pain has been getting worse over the last 2 weeks. I just assumed I've been sitting alot. But I'm just exhausted at the moment. 2 weeks after my op, my gyni said that there was no need for me to see him again and referred me back to the GP!
