The reason I ask is because I have been told.i have to have a c section due to were my placenta in lying .. I have asked if they will remove any endros when delivering the baby and got told no they get the baby and that is surgery over. I am stressing as I wanted a natural birth to try reduce my endrometriosis from stage 4 to a lower stage.
I have never heard or had a dr tell me that natural birth helps endo. My endo came back worse after having a baby
I was told by a few gynos due to moving between consultancys and having to use 2 hospitals that having a natural birth can reduce the stage of endrometriosis due to the pushing in labour and it coming out with the baby and lining .. lining picking up parts of the endro during labour.
Before I feel pregnant I did see a gyno and he was happy to do surgery where he would pick at the endro and remove as much as he can without having a hystorectomy this was a private consultation though so not sure the nhs cover that. Obviously being told I couldn't have children and then falling early this year was a shock but was happy to go through a natural birth to try help the endros reduce slightly yes not a perm situation but with the hormone change it may not have been so bad with pain after.
I dont think there is anything you can do to lower a stage. Once endo is excised, majority of the time it comes back and different areas on which your endo grows can be different stages.
How does a natural birth lower endo? I had a natural birth and it didnt lower mine. And no they wont do any surgery for endo during a c-section, it can cause way too much blood loss.
