Hi Ladies,

I am hoping you can help me, and give some advice. Sorry this will be long!:

I've had painful, heavy, clotty periods since I was 12, and was told it was normal. I was the girl, in middle/high school, using a tampon and a super maxi pad, with wings, at the same time. So I have dealt with it most of my life, dealing with pain and missing work.

I had the Mirena IUD put in back in 2013, and it didn't make a difference. I had a ruptured ovarian cyst, causing me to go to the ER. Got… read more

I have the same symptoms as you and I have been diagnosed through laparoscopy with stage 3 endometriosis. It took me 3 years and about 5 different doctors to finally get someone to listen to me. I would suggest joining the fb group nancys nook and look for an endometriosis specialist. It certainly sounds like endo to me! Sorry you are going through this. Good luck, I hope you can find some answers 💛

I hate to say it but I agree. Get a new female doctor. I have had such bad experiences with male doctors. Don’t hesitate to keep looking until you find a doctor that will listen. I promise they are out there. After 6 years of pain I finally found a doctor who cares.

Find a chronic pelvic pain/obgyn dr. Make sure they are female. Sounds terrible but i have seen enough male drs and i have been treated like a cry baby little girl. Its exhausting.

I agree with finding a dr who will listen and take you seriously. Also look intk finding a fertility dr who can help you figure out why you keep miscarrying.

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member - Thank you!! I cannot tell you enough, how hearing you have the same symptoms makes me feel. It helps me believe I am not insane. I'll join the group now and find a specialist. Thank you so much again!

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member - Thank you! Yea I think a fertility doctor is the next step as well, since the PCP and gyno don't seem bothered.
