After my lap which will be 3 weeks on Thursday, I am still in quite a lot of pain. It's different to the pain I had before and I am worried that something is not right. Is it normal to have this pain 3 weeks on or should I go and see my Gp?
I find every lap is different, I guess its dependant on what they find, how bad it is and the surgical treatment. My last surgery 6 mths ago took 1-2 mths to get back on my feet properly. My pain wasn't increasing but just felt flat and had consistent pain that slowly decreased. The surgical pain was so much better the the endo pain that's for sure. If u feel ur pain is increasing a gp visit or follow up with ur surgeon would help could be a sign of an infection.
I was in pain for about 4-5 weeks after my excision surgery it does unfortunately take your body to heal from this type of surgery. However, if you don't feel like something is right it would definitely be worth paying your GP a visit. If your pain is getting worse it could be a sign of infection or something else.
Thank you. It's just so hard to know what to expect xx
I was in pain worse than before my lap after my lap for about 2 months and I was also afraid something was wrong. I did go see the doctor who did my op to make sure this was normal and unfortunately in my case due to the little bit of endo they could not operate on on my bowel it was causing severe pain but thankfully this calmed down a bit after two months. Some people just take longer to heal than others. Hang in there but as Charlotte1997 said if you don't feel something is right it is better to get it checked out.
