Hi, im really new to this site. I recently had my second lap surgery (5 weeks ago). I have been TTC for two years. I had my first period a few days after the surgery. And was TTC throughout my my recent cycle. My period is now 6 days late. Of course I got my hopes up straight away, but it was negative. I haven’t retested. Is it normal to have irregular periods after lap surgery? Confused as my first period came on time.
Thankyou :)

My doctor said that the manipulation of the uterus and ovaries during excision surgery can cause temporary disruption of the menstrual cycle. She was more talking about an unexpected period starting right after surgery, but perhaps your cycle is a bit affected still?
