Hi all
I’ve just recently been diagnosed with endometriosis, despite having symptoms for many years
I’m booked in to have laparoscopic surgery to remove an endo mass 78mm big removed on my right ovary.
My periods are always super painful, but this week when I got them I was vomiting and incredibly nauseous, as well as feeling gassy and sick in my stomach on and off constantly. I also had diarrhoea.
I feel like I have motion sickness constantly.
I’m wondering if this is all just part and… read more
Im literally at home sick today because I woke with my first day of my period and couldn’t get out of bed because I felt like I was going to vomit. I was even wondering myself if I had gastro and just gotten my period but after taking some pain relief the nausea has gone away. I used to get this when I was a teenager and before I was on the contraceptive pill, so I’m not quite sure why I have all of sudden started to get it now but it is bloody horrible! Hang in there, maybe try some ginger and once I got the endo pain to die down, the nausea did too.
Yep completely normal. Once you have a lap it will all go away. I have hot flashes, nausea and that vomiting feeling.
I get bouts of nausea, fevers and usually get extreme chills along with the nausea as well.
When I was not on birth control I would have horrible horrible periods and get so sick. Nausea, vomiting, and diarreah with pelvic cramps. I was in a college class one time and felt like I was going to throw up and ran to the bathroom where I almost passed out. That didn't happen every time but some variation there of. It was worse if I had a cyst on my ovary. I'm on bc now and it's a lot better but I definitely still get nauseas whether it's from the pain or just endo wreaking havoc with my stomach.
That's a pretty big mass on your ovary and I wouldn't be surprised if it was causing or contributing to those symptoms. It's good your having it removed. One thing, if you start having increasing pain in the ovary and the same symtoms you mentioned, don't hesitate to go to the er because occasionally cysts or heavy lesions can twist the ovary and they need to treat that in the hospital. That's just a more rare and extreme case though so don't stress and take it easy! I hope the surgery goes well and you start feeling better soon!
