Hysterectomy did actually help certain things like the stabbing left ovary pain I had. Turns out my own freaking heartbeat was making the left ovary pain worse and constant. Overall, though, no, it… read more
Has anyone experienced weight gain as a symptom of endo?
I’m off all hormonal birth control and I’ve gained 30lb the last two years. I want to say the main contributors are being less active & also a hormone imbalance? Ugh
I am scheduled for a hysterectomy next week, and my surgeon says she will decide when doing the surgery whether the cervix should be removed or not. I told her I wanted my cervix removed, and she responded that I could state my preference, but it is her decision. She said she would also decide whether my tubes would be removed or not during surgery based on whether they are close to my ovaries. Were you personally able to choose what you wanted removed during surgery or did your surgeon make… read more

Greetings. I just had a hysterectomy on November 21 and wanted to find out what I could do to ensure proper recovery and prevention of prolapse. All the people I have Mets and talk to who had u define a hysterectomy told me they were fine initially but had a prolaps.
Definitely a great question! Unfortunately for me, I couldn't prevent a prolapse. I'd been saying for years after the hysterectomy that what I felt was the beginning of a prolapse and no one believed… read more

I'd like to keep my cervix if possible. Was anyone else able to keep theirs?
