I am scheduled for a hysterectomy next week, and my surgeon says she will decide when doing the surgery whether the cervix should be removed or not. I told her I wanted my cervix removed, and she responded that I could state my preference, but it is her decision. She said she would also decide whether my tubes would be removed or not during surgery based on whether they are close to… read more
What are your thoughts on it? What made you decide that course of action?
I have PCOS and Endo. It has not been easy. My daughter is adopted as I cannot have children of my own. This is something that I have talked about with family for about a year now. They are all supportive, but I would love to hear from yall...
After 20+ years of dealing with the pain and all that comes with ends, I have decided to have a hysterectomy. It is scheduled for Nov. 28th. I am wondering if anyone has any tips of what to take to the hospital or make sure to have at home for recovery. I am a bit of a control freak, and there isn't really anything I can control about this whole thing, other than having what will help and make me most comfortable as I heal. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Has anyone ever had a hystetectomy at the age of 25 due to their endometriosis being so bad?
Would the doctor make you get a hysterectomy if you have bleeding for a whole month straight with no stopping? I have been having bleeding that has been non stop and some pain and it sucks. I feel depressed and i feel insecure and frustrated. What do i do?
Hi everyone, currently trying to decide whether to leave one ovary after hysterectomy then be on Visanne until menopause or just have a complete hysterectomy. I'm concerned as I get really bad PMS so respond badly to progesterone. I'm 41 with stage 4 DIE. I would love to hear some experiences :)
My doctors have told me that the next time they do surgery on me they want to do a total hysterectomy. I have only had 2 surgeries in the past. I have also read about women that have had upwards of 5 or 6 surgeries for their endo. I really want at least one more child. And really want to preserve my fertility. But can’t deal with the pain.
Has anyone been put on Oralissa? My doctor just put me on it along with some other pain management treatments. Basically at my last option before we decide to do surgery again, or even possible hystrectomy. Just wondering if anyone has taken Oralissa and if its been effective and what side affects you have had?
Has anyone experienced weight gain as a symptom of endo?
My doctor is talking about doing a full hysterectomy because my endometriosis pain is so bad and nothing else has helped. I've heard that a hysterectomy isn't a cure and the endometriosis can come back. Has anyone had this happen or did your pain get better? Also did you experience any symptoms not related to endometriosis after the hysterectomy?
