I'm nine days post Lap, my stitches are healing nicely, my belly buttom a bit slower compared to the others, but behind I have a stinging, like knitting needle being poked in feeling. But going downwards my bladder? Can anyone tell me if it's normal?

My belly button was also very sore after my second lap and took longer to heal than the first time. I just figured that it was because the incision had to be in the exact same place as the last time. There was about a 2 inch radius around my belly button that was painful for about 2 and a half months post surgery, I couldn't have pants or anything touching that area of my stomach it was so painful. Yoga pants were my best friend :)
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member, it sounds like this surgery was much more extensive, so it is very possible the trocar and was pushed further into your belly button. Also keep in mind that there is scar tissue from your first surgery, and it was necessary to break through that.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member, I returned to work three weeks after my laparoscopy in 2003. My belly button was sore for a while. It is the location of the main incision and where the camera is placed. Your abdomen is also insuflated (sp?) with CO2 through your navel. It's going to be sore for a while. Give your body at least eight weeks to heal.
Not necessarily. I was off work for 2 weeks and was still sore when I went back. 2 weeks is pretty common. For many though it’s more like 6 weeks.
Did you have an incision in your belly button? It could just be the scar tissue forming as it heals.
