Is norethisterone safe to take to prevent heavy bleeding post lap? I got an endometrioma removed abt 11 weeks ago, i missed two periods then i started spotting 8 weeks post op then got heavy clotty periods for the past 2 weeks. My doctor put me on tranexamic acid to help with the bleeding & he said we would try norethisterone or provera if the bleeding doesn't stop. My qn is is it safe to take after my op?
