A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Symptoms
Painful periods
Irregular cycles
Shoulder pain every period (hurts when I laugh and breathe deeply as well as generally)
Pain in right side of neck
Painful ribs (all the time not just on period)
Painful intercourse (every time)

You just described me! I have endo on my diaphragm! You have to push hard for diagnosis, unfortunately. I was lucky 10 years ago when locum doctor suggested that I might have endo on my diaphragm. All that shoulder, neck, rib pain is classic symptoms (I think it's called shoulder tip pain) Google that.

Sorry that you are going through this! Just because one doctor tells you no, it doesn't neccessarily mean that they are right. I have been to so many different doctors and hospitals, got misdiagnosed with all sorts ! The first hospital I was with told me "there was nothing more that they could do for me" after my Laproscopy and coil being fitted, but I was still in agony! I went to another practice, referred to a specialist and they put me on the combined pill. It changed my life! Trust your gut, you know your body!

Those could be endo symptoms. Unfortunately, your experience of being dismissed by the doctors is very common; don't stop advocating for yourself or searching for a doctor who will listen.💛

Sounds very much like my endo symptoms and I'm so sorry that your doctors aren't taking you seriously considering you've obviously done your research. I would tell you just to keep searching for a doctor that'll preform a lap on you - it often takes a lot of looking to find a gynecologist that actually takes women seriously!

Don't give up! It took me 9 years to be diagnosed. You just have to be persistent. Keep a diary of your symptoms. If you're not liking a dr see a different one until you find someone who will listen.
