Hi I think your doing the right thing. That is the only way I know of that you will be able to find out if you have endo or something else. Have you had a ct scan bc I just had one at the ER last week & it should tell you something. Don't feel like a fraud you know your own body & you know if you feel there is something not right. I am now on the waiting list for a Lap, although I am so scared they won’t find anything and I will feel like a huge fraud! But at least I am closer to finding out what’s going on!

If I was you & you have insurance I would definitely want a lap bc this way you know for sure what is going on inside & take it from there. What kind of hormone therapy. I was on estradiol & provera for yrs after my hysterectomy & I do think it helped at least I was functional & now they took me off it bc I was getting cysts on the breast so they were worried about cancer. It's been 9 months & now I'm getting to ware I can't function. Ask a lot of questions. Good luck to you. tigreyes

That is basically what I did. I have been told for YEARS that I "possibly" have endo. I had an appointment on Monday with my gyno and told her this, we did an ultrasound, which did not show anything. (didn't expect it too). She said we could try high dose of BC and I said no, I have tried that before I can't do it I just want to have a laparoscopy and she agreed. I am scheduled for surgery on 4/24/18. little nervous. My moms was severe she ended up with a full hysterectomy.

Have the lap otherwise you may be trying to treat the wrong problem. Also if its endo it could be damaging other organs like your bowel. Hormones may lessen the symptons but i found as time went on they were less effective. Im so much better off for having the lap.
