Its nearly 4 months im on visanne. I gained weight at the beginning and no matter what i do now i just cant lose a pound. I did a friggn green tea fast for 2 days, at last night now im going for another 3 days. This is ridiculous. Please someone tell me they have this issue too?? Im getting so frustrated that i just want to get off the pill. I know qge plays a role but im 26 it cant like stop me from losing weight.

I personally didn’t try losing any weight while on visanne, but I did gain about 15lbs on it. Once I stopped taking it and changed my diet the weight melted off though.

I was on visanne for 2 weeks and my body gained 12 pounds within 3 days . I’m usually 120 and am naturally thin so I knew it was a bad side effect . Then my pain increased substantially and i had a major endo flare up .
I would not recommend Visanne at all . I went off it and am back on Alesse. Still waiting for my weight and body to go back to normal two months later

Does anyone have an alternative to visanne or are you just going back to plain old oral contraceptives?
The weight gain is soooo horrible I want it off and I cant get it off!

Hi Brigette
I lost 4 kgs within 2 weeks of being off Visanne, however my endo is now back and I've gained that 4-6kgs again even though I'm not on Visanne anymore (I'm not taking anything at the moment). So sadly the hormones seem to be in control now.
