Upper Back And Neck Pain With Endo Flare?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone ever experienced upper back/shoulder and neck pain with their endo? I usually have low back and pelvic pain, but I’ve gotten to the point now where my shoulders, upper back, and neck hurt so bad. I’ve tried deep massage, chiropractor, heating pads, etc. I also hurt and ache so bad I can’t sleep due to not being able to get comfortable.. I’ve tried so many diff pillows, body pillow- but it’s like my neck and back feel constantly being strained or not supported 😭

I have the same issue. Just like the other girl said, its not from endo but more from our bodies response to the pain. I did pelvic floor physical therapy for a few months and the phyaical therapist cpuldnt believe how tense my entire body was. She helped a TON when it came to my back pain!

I have noticed a lot of upperback and neck pain. I have 3 pillows that i alternate with through the night... I never related it back to endo but it makes sense... the pelvic floor therapy sounds interesting I should look into that too..

I am doing pelvic floor therapy. But it involves your whole body because your nerves and your muscles get so tight that it causes other things to get tight that really have nothing to do with the Endo. It just hurts because you’re so used to constantly being hunched over that it’s affecting your posture. Look in the pelvic floor therapy it has helped me, but at the same time it hurts me. It works really well but the next day feels like a flareup but I know that I making progress
