I am not completely sure both my laps have been different. It probably is different doctor to doctor and hospital to hospital and country to country. It also probably depends on what they are going into do as well.

Hi Butterscotch
Thank you. I've been wondering about you & hope your doing well. Your still on my prayer list. Did you drink that big gal of stuff & you add lemon packet flavor to it? It is so nice hearing from you & I wish you the very best. hugs tigreyes

Hey @A MyEndometriosisTeam Member! I had to take a bowel cleanse before my laps. The first lap in 2013 my gyno didnt care about perfectly clean because he didn't expect endo on my bowels. This last time I had to be fully evacuated. No red drinks either.

I am thinking that when you have bowel issues along with the endo, that's when the prep is different & they make you prepare like a colonoscopy. I was just wondering bc I have been hearing a lot of different stories. Thank you girls.

I had mine last April. I don't think I had much prep to do. They gave me surgical soap to wash twice before my surgery. No food or drink before. I could still take my meds but not my vitamins or ibuprofen for like 7 days. I don't think that mattered.. After was awful that's all I remember. I had so much bleeding and couldn't do anything for almost 3 weeks. I'm pretty sure I had complications but they didn't care. I took a nap after my first day back at work when I stood up so much blood came out. I was covered my shorts to my legs on the couch.. I called the on call doc they said if it happens again go to the ER.. Are you serious right now?... if anything it made it worse, but I also had a horrible OBGYN doing the surgery...
