Iron levels
I was very anemic about 6 years ago, and I was also very low on vit D. I had no idea then that I had endometriosis or adenomyosis. After being so deficient I decided to study nutrition and became qualified. I'm a nutritional therapist outside of my 9-5 job. The scary thing about iron is that women need around 200mg per day as general maintenance. If you look to buy iron suppliments here in the U.K., it's a as low as 15mg in a recommended daily dose which is what's sold on the shelf. I go to a pharmacy and ask to buy it over the counter as 200mg and I take one a day with vitamin d 1000iu and vitamin c 1000mg as they help to absorb together. Ive never had a problem since.
Yes, I have fibroids in addition to endometriosis. I don't take iron pills, but I no longer have anemia because I take birth control pills continuously.
I don't know why but I always think every symptom is a separate thing I was on Palafer for months a couple times for low iron and when I was a teenager as well never thought it was part of endo
All the time!!!
