Just wondering how UK people have gone about getting referred to a specialist. Theres a specialist centre about an hour away from where I live, but everytime I’ve been referred anywhere its always been to a local hospital. Can i request the specialist unit when i see my GP? Ive only been dealing with the treatment side of things for less than two years so i still dont really know anything about whats possible and what isnt..

My doctor sent me to a local hospital to have scans done then after the results came back (nothing showed) they sent me back to the hospital where I saw a specialist there.

Good luck with everything I hope your not waiting to long!

Ill try calling them. Ive requested to join that group, I’m just waiting to be accepted. I was thinking about going private but it’ll be super expensive as our insurance doesnt cover chronic conditions.. ill wait to look at the list of specialists, thank you!
