Hi, this is my first time on the site and I've already found it so helpful reading through some of the other posts and replies.
I was diagnosed with endo last June following a trip to A&E with a misdiagnosed kidney infection/query appendicitis/query gall stones! Nothing showed on scans but when they decided to open me up they found stage 4 endo with frozen pelvis. Had tissue removed from around my uterus, bladder, and top of bowel which had started to connect to my diaphragm. Post surgery I had… read more
Hello Victoria 123, I hope you are feeling a bit better at the moment, and that you've fired your GP who dismisses your symptoms as being related to depression. I've just visited 7 x different doctors to try and find out what the heck is causing my constant night sweats, chronic fatigue, intolerance to cold, etc. Although I'm not sure if these symptoms are related to my endometriosis, I did end up meeting an incredible functional medical practitioner (integrative doctor), who happened to be Doctor # 7, who is busy helping me sort out the pieces of the puzzle. The day before that, when I visited Doctor # 6, I literally burst out in tears in his consulting rooms because of the fact that he was so dismissive and thought all of my (numerous) symptoms were merely in my head, referring me to a psychiatrist. Moral of the story? Fire your current doctor (just because you can) and find another one who will listen to you and take you seriously. Strongs, I really hope you'll feel much better very soon.
I would highly recommend you get in to see a naturopath and an osteopath. I believe they can help you way more than any medical doctor can. The options provided to us by medical doctors are only bandaid solutions which is ridiculous. The naturopath offers real long term solutions that go right to the source of the issues. And the osteopath does the same with manual treatments of the body.
Hi, I also have stage 4 endo, I had excision via laprascopy 3 weeks ago. They removed it from my bowel, bladder, rectum and pelvis. I also had scaring removed and cysts. I still have adenomyosis but all the symptoms you mentioned, down to the specifics of pain on the right side, neck and shoulder pain and down the arm on the right, and waking up with pain, all of it is the same. Doctors also thought I had kidney infection or stones, appendicitis, hernia, bladder infection, gallstones, you name it! Wasn't until my diognostic lap done by a colorectal surgeon that they saw endometriosis on the rectum. Fast forward 4 weeks and the endo specialist opened me up to find me riddled with it. He also found stage 4 adenomyosis which is pretty much a frozen womb, it's so big it's pushing up into my colon and into my back causing a lot of pain when eating but also my back keeps clicking out of place around the sacrum.
