Does Anybody Have Incessant Upper Back Pain In Between Shoulder Blades To The Point That You Can't Sleep?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

My acupuncturist explained to me that inflammation and problems with digestive could be the cause of this back pain. I have done everything from x-ray to MRI; they are normal. My management to the pain is massage; acupuncture yoga and castor oil pad. it never goes away? Perhaps someone has a more effective way of managing that pain?

Hi, @A MyEndometriosisTeam Member I had had my third surgery about 2 years ago. I had that too even after hysterectomy but I had pelvic physiotherapy; Mayan massage acupuncture and I introduced myself to meditation and yoga. It had been mild most of the time around 1 when I do intense activities it goes up between the scale of 3-5 intensity. My most annoying pain is in the upper back in between shoulder blades.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member acupuncture helped me a lot. At one point I had been having it once a week then down to twice a month and then once a month. Now I am having it once every 2 months. For me it had a lot of benefits; it helped me with my digestive issues; depression; insomnia and pain. Our digestive system had a lot of influence in our flare-ups. I am also taking prescriptions from Chinese Herbal Medicine practitioner. At one point they really did control my heavy bleeding due to fibroids and endometriosis I was about to change my mind about surgery but didn't because I was just managing everything brought about by cysts; adhesions; scar tissues; endometriosis and fibroids. The medications were making me weak. I am now prescription free just taking supplements; yoga and acupuncture and massage.

Is acupuncture effective? I’ve been considering it recently.

I have severe back and tailbone pain that won't go away. I am taking Tramadol, and that has helped a little. My surgeon is thinking that the endometriosis/adenomyosis is causing the pain. The only way to really treat it at this point is doing excision surgery as no other methods have worked for the treatment for my endometriosis. Have you had surgery yet?
