I love my mirena. Yes, it was a year after I got my first one in (I'm on coil number 2 now) that I ended up with a huge chocolate cyst and now since my surgery I have chronic high blood pressure but to be fair, the coil has kept the majority of my endo symptoms at bay. I'm less nuts, the pain has drastically improved and I haven't had a proper bleed for 7 years. For me and for the time being, my mirena is a life saver

I developed cyst on the marina! Most doctors won't admit the marina causes it, but mine got huge and painful and my gyno was so worried I'd lose my ovary so she took it out but I've had problems ever since..

I think that is a side effect.

It gave me ovary infection and asites and extremely high blood pressue.

That’s my ultimate fear! I’ve been researching and it states on the Merina US website that 12 out of 100 can get Cysts as a side effect- which would have been nice to be informed of this before getting it
