I was in Lupron for 4 months and bled through the whole treatment. Tried continuous birth control with pills, nuvaring, and nexplanon- none stopping the bleeding. Been bleeding on nexplanon every 2 weeks with intense back and pelvic pain
I feel like I’m running out of options and so… read more

It’s endometriosis inside the uterine walls. The only cure is a hysterectomy. I am 4 weeks post op (total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy). Basically I have no female reproductive organs left, save for my vagina... Everything was riddled with endo and I had adenomyosis! This was a last resort surgery for me though but it is an option if you have tried everything else and can’t find relief... if you aren’t planning to have children then it may be time to consider it! Just know that it doesn’t cure endo, endo can come back but at least you won’t have a painful uterus and bleeding all the time! I would also find an endo specialist who knows endo and how it works because even if you have adenomyosis and they remove your uterus, the rest of the endo needs to be excised, otherwise you may be no better off than you were...

That’s what I’m trying now- going to find alternative non hormonal ways to prevent pregnancy until our wedding next year. I’m done being a hormonal guinea pig!
