BC pills will help to an extent. I have been on mine (Minastrin FE 24) since May 2015. I have not had a cycle since then because I skip the sugar pills at the end of each pack. I still have some pain but it's not where near what it was before finding this BC. I did the Depo shot, the pill form of the depo (seasonique) and multiple other BC pills, none of them helped. When it comes to BC pills, it is going to be a trial and error process until you find the one that works with your body instead of against it.
Please remember that BC Pills will help control the endo that is already there from growing as fast, but it will not get rid of it.
Each pill or form of BC or the Lupron is going to have side effects, which may or may not show themselves while you are on it. Some women who I have spoken with had little SEs on the Lupron shot but once they came off it the SEs set in and they hate living with them now. Same goes for BC pills and IUDs. It is really up to you and what you feel is best for your body. My OBGYN will not do an IUD if you have not had a child naturally and I refused the Lupron shot after doing research and hearing stories about it.
I would speak with an endo specialist if you haven't already. Both my OBGYN and Endo/Fertility specialist advised that I stay on my BC and continue to skip sugar pills until we are ready to start TTC naturally as skipping the sugar pills keeps the estrogen level lower then when you take them therefore it keeps the endo from "feeding" off more estrogen.

You could ask for something stronger such as an iud, progesterone pill or Lupron shot. Research all as they all have slightly (a lot) more side effects than regular birth control but some Gynos say it helps also down future endo growth more than regular ocp. But it’s up to you! I personally was on regular ocp ten years and barely had symptoms of endo pain, it all csme flooding in once I went off last year. I’m now on a progesterone pill and suffering horrible side effects like dizzy and nausea but supposedly it will help me .

I did Depo-Shot.Helped my pain.Once a month was not too bad.Better than pills that I could not do or Mirena.
