What Happens To Endo Implants After Menopause?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

My mom passed away at 73 she didnt know what endometriosis was when she passed the lung expert said her lungs were like cement and wouldn't expand he had no idea why because she had endometriosis and never had it treated it made me wonder if it was endo related and what becomes of any remaining endo implants after menopause? Any thoughts? Thank you πŸ™‹

Endometriosis of the lung and the diaphragm is rare. It may be presented with symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain, and shoulder pain or they may be asymptomatic. I just got over bronchitis and this too put fear in my mind. I still have shortness of breath and I could just be sitting there doing nothing. IBut did you know it also affects the Brain. Endometriosis induces changes to the brain that may help to explain the sensitivity to pain and the anxiety and depression experienced. Every time I have an Endo episode I have a migraine.

ABSOLUTELY!! Thoracic endo happens. The ACOG says endo is not fatal. Guess what?? The complications from endo can be fatal.

I am 54 and have endo on my small bowel and diaphragm.

The oldest woman with endo is in her 80s.

Your poor mom. I am so sorry.

Hey everyone I have a possible update on my mom and her passing. I thought it was endometriosis in her lungs as the specialist didn't know why her lungs were like cement but my brother and his family have a rare desease called Pompe desease it is possible that this was the cause of my mother's passing,I don't think we'll ever know for sure.πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Pompe is a hereditary desease if you look it up it will say both parents have to be carriers of Pompe but not have it themselves for their children to have it. My brother and his family have Proven that to be wrong. His children were the first to have symptoms my brother had none for years they were all tested he was found to have the lowest levels.
Let me explain that Pompe desease is when you are missing or lower than normal levels of the GAA gene deficiency of this enzyme will cause muscle weakness progressing to respiratory weakness eventually death.
So my brother had it worse his kids next but with more symptoms and his wife the least.
I find it strange when something has been Proven wrong but Dr's still want to stick to the old information as fact.😱 im trying to get myself and my one son tested its proving to be extremely difficultπŸ˜“
Anyways I just wanted to explain that maybe my mother's death wasn't to do with endometriosis in the lungs we probably will never know.
I hope I explained it ok its probably as clear as mud Lol
Much love take care allπŸ™‹πŸ€—β™₯️

Hi merry xmas and have a Happy New Year.
To answer yr question endo can be passed from other members off family on women side. I am on Hormone replacement Threapy known as HRT and have to take utrogestan pills but i am terrible swallowing pills so put up my vangina and i am going through early memopause. Here in NZ it summer season but it has been terrible weather usually we get no rain which makes us have a drought. But this year we had nothing but cold wintery tempertures in morning then rain, wind or thuder and lighting or hail stones. This weather has caused problem to my memopause. Being on HRT and pills their no signs off endo coming bck but u still got exercise and eat good healthy food u can spoil little bit treats like chocolates or sweets, packet chips .
