Is A Second Dye Test Really Worth It?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

During my lap surgery my previously open left tube spasmed and they aren’t sure if it is closed or open now. They want me to repeat the dye test to see for sure. I am hesitant one because the test was very painful, and two if the tube is open I have a good chance of kids like 70% in the next 6 months to a year. At this point I have no clue what is worth doing. Anyone experience this and have some advice?

Hi.

No. I get that its painful but you want the green light to go ahead with the next stage in your life. If there are risks, weigh them. It is your body.

It can be worth it to get a second test. Maybe you can check if it would be possible to go to a different doctor or radiologist for it.

No idea if it is worth it but you're right about that test being painful. I have really struggled with any further gynae medical interventions since because of that memory.
