The cyst is 7cm on my ovary. Been told going to try laparoscopy (5 holes) but as ive asked to protect my ovary if possible, that they may do open surgery. I’ll find out when i wake up if i have five holes or five holes and a big scar.
Im obviously anxious, never had surgey before, dont really know what to expect or if theres anything i should/shouldnt do before surgery.
Researched online and felt more confused and anxious.

My nurses were insistent that I must tell them when my pain got any higher than a 3 out of 10 so they could keep on top of it... better to speak up when it starts to get worse so they can help you quicker... Also I've been really struggling w having to sleep on my back but am finding that putting a big squishy euro pillow under my knees really helps..if it does start to really hurt focus on your breathing and being calm until the med kicks in - don't let yourself panic as it makes everything tense and worse..when you feel like drinking be sure to drink loads of water to help w the whole toilet thing
