So I have a few days left on my pill and had surgery a week and a half ago. Yesterday I started bleeding heavier and having some pretty intense cramps, which could also be being a bit off about taking my birth control since I’m not having the best time recovering from surgery. I decided to just let myself have my period, I’m on seasonique so it’s been a while anyway and I figured my body could use it. Yeah my doctor had me continue my pill normally. I ended up just letting myself have a period this week since it was almost time anyway. I started a new pack yesterday and will go for my post op follow up on Thursday and hopefully have some better answers about future cycles and pills. This period was brutal.

I am just out of my surgery 2 days ago. And i have the same question as you do. so you continued your BC pill after the surgery just like before the surgery?

Are you taking a regular anti inflammatory? Since I have been taking Arcoxia every night it's made everything so much more bearable... I'm just finishing my first period post op but they did put a mirena in too... it's been not as heavy but lots longer..
