This is probably the most scared I've been since my diagnosis, especially after signing all the paperwork giving the surgeon permission to remove my ovaries if something goes wrong. I guess what I need to know now is what is the best way to prepare and some tips for recovery. What should I be mindful of? Anything you can share about your own lap procedures is helpful.

I didn't know there was a such thing as pelvic therapy either but it's helping me get through it. Don't think too much. About and go in with faith. Even if we though about everything we still know because everyone's body is so different. Best of luck and keep us posted.
I had my first laproscopy about 18 days ago I don't know what condition your ovaries are in but my doctor saved my left ovary even with a giant cyst sitting inside it measuring 12x12x13 cm in size. I would just really think over everything you want and all your options and talk to your doctor about everything all your worries and concerns and if you don't feel confident it is never to late to get a second opinion. I talked to 3 surgeons before I picked the surgeon who did my laproscopy because the first surgeon said she would probably not be able to save my left ovary and she was going to take it out. Don't feel defeated. And even if they do take them out there are options available and hormone supplements and or pills and it's never as bad as it may seem the light will always be a t the end of the tunnel. I'm also walking, doing light yoga, showering and moving around well it all depends on how invasive your surgery is and who is performing the surgery.
I had my surgery back in January and I'm still recovering from the after-effects of it all. It's been about 8 weeks already but its been a journey of ups and downs. Every woman is different recovery wise but give your body time. I agree that you will need about 3-4 months. For me it's been really difficult to move around, stand, sit, etc... But everyone is difficult i am currently doing pelvic therapy and dr has put me for additional three months on top of the weeks i had. I wish you the best of luck and hope you feel some relief. Also the i agree the scariest thing i have ever done in my life was sign those papers to remove everything if needed.

I didn't even know pelcic therapy was a thing....I feel like I'm never going to understand everything that comes with Endo. It surprises me every day.

Wow, that long for recovery? I'm a full time employee at a global biopharm facility and a full time college student. If I can't recover for that long, would you say light activity -like a desk job- is okay?
