I took gabapentin as well for the pain and had no issues with it. Not even side effects. But everyone is different. I started with one at bed time as that was when most of my pelvic pain would hit then increased it so needed. No more the 3 in a 24 hour period. This helped me alot and I took it with ibuprofen 800mg. The combination of the 2 medications helped me alot. Even after I came home from the hospital for a hysterectomy I took that before taking the actual pain medication.

I have been on a very high dosage Gabapentin for years and it made my hands arthritic to the point they though I had RA. I eventually got off of it and my hands are fine now. Lots of scary info out there on Gabapentin

It depends how many a day you take & what the dosage is. What dose did you take?. I am on the lowest 100 mg & it is not helping & will have to up it but am waiting till after the blood test bc I want to see if the meds have anything to do with my bad blood test.

i have taken it for my nerve pain too... i didnt have any problems with it either..
Interesting they gave it to me in hospital for pain after my laparoscopy. I hadnt had it for awhile...

Right now I am taking it for nerve pain. I have terrible achy legs & feet & it is suppose to help. There not sure what is wrong with me. My problems are caused by endo surgeries which has caused me terrible adhesion's that are stuck & plastered onto the remaining organs that are left. My dr. at the Mayo Clinic said no more surgery for adhesions bc it would be harmful to me so they are treating me for pain. Thank you for your feed back.
