I’m almost one year since my surgery and I had maybe 2 months feeling great then it just got worse . I wish surgery was last resort . Also I still have back pains so I take muscle relaxers for pain and maybe it’s just me but I have more shooting pains in my bellybutton than I’ve ever had. Plus my bellybutton doesn’t look or feel the same . But I have sensitive skin so maybe that’s me. I will say I thought the surgery was to help and I feel like it was so temporary . I recently lost my job because of it and now work part time and an online student . It changed my life ... waiting for things to change sooner than later with my pain.

Everyone is so different, so there's not really a definitve answer for that, unfortunately-- but I'm 4 weeks post-excision and wishing for a yes lol. They say the initial healing time for the tissue they operated on is 12 weeks, and personally I had trouble telling right after surgery if my endo pain was gone because I had pain from the surgery (mine was quite extensive). So if you're still having pain (I couldn't tell from your post) that's not necessarily indicative that the surgery didn't work or that you won't feel better. The healing process seems to have its ups and downs. I hope you're doing well and that excision proves successful for both of us 💛💛

Changing diet to a anti inflammatory diet helps keep inflammation levels in ur body down. As endo causes inflammation eatting foods that cause more inflammation can agitated the endo more and cause more pain. So eatting healthier and cutting out the stuff that agitates the endo will really make the flair ups more manageable. As for the pain disappearing completely after excision, that depends. Everyone deals and heals differently after surgery, only you will know how well the surgery worked for u..surgery works best when u change ur diet and stay ontop of your health.

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member mine actually wasn't too bad, but I also had a PSN and stayed on birth control prior to surgery (my doctor's office didn't advise me to go off of it) so that may be part of the reason. Someone I follow on Instagram had the first one fine and then the second one was bad, so I'm a little concerned about my next one tbh 😞 Every time I have a pain similar to before surgery it gives me a chill, so I can relate to having anxiety about that. Are you going to be doing pelvic floor physical therapy? I start Tuesday and hoping that can give me some insight into things I'm feeling. 🤞🏻
