Colonoscopy before laparoscopy?

Yes I had to get an emergency one a few months ago before they did my double intestinal resection laparoscopy surgery for 3 partial/total blockages of endometriosis.

I didn't get one. I got an MRI to try to detect any thickening in my bowel wall that may be indicative of bowel endo, but didnt show. When they actually got in there they didnt see any either. That may be why they want to do a colonoscopy to see whether they should suspect bowel endo, but colonoscopies do come up as false negatives for bowel endo sometimes.

No I didn’t have to do that before surgery I just couldn’t eat after 6 the day before

I'm having to do magnesium citrate to clean my bowels out. Surgery tomorrow.
