I am wondering how you all handle your work situations when your endo is getting out of hand? My second surgery isn’t for several months and I am now struggling to the point of interference with work attendance. I have a new job and it is high pressure. Feeling really discouraged and not sure how to handle this.
Hugs. I totally get it. Meds or flare ups make any job hard. You just have to be honest to your boss and honest to yourself on what you can do. Hugs good luck!
That sucks. Yeah, they don’t make me dizzy. I first got Valium suppositories based on my pelvic floor physical therapist’s recommendation but those make me sleepy. I don’t feel any ill effects from the Flexeril ones
That stinks. For that, a colo-rectal surgeon prescribed compounded suppositories of Flexeril and Lidocaine. Not sure if it would be ok for you to use something like that at work though. Is it possible to take those anti-spasmodic medicines that people use for IBS, but just when you have a flare?
Oh, and I think you once said you're a psych NP, right? I don't know if that means you're sitting for long periods in sessions or if you're on your feet all day in a hospital. But this cushion is amazing; I have a hard time sitting because of the pelvic floor dysfunction and this helps a lot. Heating pads too, if you can sit. Or those Thermacare menstrual heat things that stick in your underwear. They have them for the low back too, if you have lots of pain there.

That’s tough. I have a friend who is a NP and she said there are non-clinical jobs that she could take if she needed to. She thought about trying to switch to a remote job since she has little kids. Ultimately, she knew she would miss patient care. But just throwing that out there
