Has Anyone Else Had Weight Loss Issues? And How Can You Gain?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Ever since my endometriosis got worse I've had so much trouble gaining weight. From being naseous so bad and throwing up alot. But it has been controlled now it's just still so hard to gain weight. 😟

I have the opposite problem . . . wish I could give you some of mine. LOL. Have you had your thyroid tested? It's common for EndoWarriors to have thyroid issues. I also suggest asking your doctor to rule out autoimmune diseases, because those are also common in EndoWarriors. Obviously, eating healthy foods with good fats like omega-3s in fish, etc, is important. That helps regulate hormone levels. Hope you get some answers.

Oh, the low appetite is a big problem for me. I sometimes have it with the nausea and sometimes just on its own. I have to force myself to eat breakfast about 2-3 hours after I wake up. So I think my body is in starvation mode and that's why I can't lose. I try to eat, but it's tough, so I get that. I hope your doc figures something out.

See birth control helped my pain and it helped me eat more but theres still days I wake up and cant eat very well. So ill gain a bit then still lose it again.
I even try to count my calories to get to 1700 but I cant even eat that much. Lol Maybe you can try yourself setting a goal and strictly stick to it for 2 weeks so your body can get used to it then after it should become easier to eat healthier.

I am having trouble losing weight but when I was put on birth control I gained 20 pounds. (I am not on birth control now, that was when I was younger)
