hi, just wondering if anyone can answer this. i'm very very very very concerned because my personality has been garbage since all of this started. i'm too exhausted to have a personality. feeling this way is ruining my life. does personality come back immediately after surgery if at all?? (laparoscopy)

Some of it is the hormone treatments too. My moods can switch off and on. I tend to get very cranky when in pain. I just try to be gentle with myself and take it one day at a time. I try not get on the "Why me?" train because that is the absolute worse and does not help at all. I also have to snap myself out of it because I start feeling like my life is ruined or like someone sucked the young out of me. Hang in there!

Don't worry! After my sister had jaw surgery she was lethargic for a month or two, but she came back full force. Not that jaw surgery and laparoscopic are the same thing, but with any surgery I think people feel really exhausted, especially if they are in pain. You'll get back to normal!

I can say a wholehearted yes to this. I had argument after argument with my boyfriend up to the day of my surgery, and looking back on it now I'm like.. "I wish I could tell that girl to calm down and stop talking." I think it will come back quickly. Especially if you acknowledge that your behavior isn't you leading up to it. I think it will be ok.
