Hello everyone. I'm about to have Robotic Assisted Laparascopic Excision Surgery that includes a Hysterectomy in about a month. I am feeling a bit nervous. I think that if I had a better understanding of how I would feel post op from the moment I wake up to about 2 or so weeks in to recovery then I might feel less axious. Has anyone else had this surgery? How did it feel waking up post op? What levels of pain did you experience during recovery and what helped to relieve them? I'd like to know… read more

I am having a hysterectomy on Nov 15th and I am really nervous esp. after the Dr tells you all the possible things that can go wrong just freaked me out. I know that recovery is about 3-9 weeks post surgery. And you aren't supposed to have sex for 9-12 weeks. My Dr said I should be able to walk upstairs in my house After 2 weeks. Do u have someone who is can take care of you for a week?I got my mom coming down to my home the day after my surgery. Good luck and prayers sent your way😇
