Question About Birth Control Options
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

What are some current birth control
Options for endometriosis that folks in the community would recommend? I have tried lo loestrin FE and Yaz but I am curious about any experience with treating endo pain with nuca ring or natazia (new pill on the market not sure about the spelling). Please no homeopathic or non hormonal advice on this post. Thank you.

Try using Vissane(dienogest). Its a bit of a new drug on the market. It isnt primarily birth control but it stops the period, in most cases stops ovulation hence its rare to get pregnant while on it(acts as a birth control in more ways that not). Im not familiar with the new ones youve talked about, im sorry. But i hope this was helpful.

I don’t know about those new ones but I really liked Slynd, it basically stopped my period completely which well my gyno didn’t like that. I had no pain except that it would make me super constipated which caused that sort of pain. I also tried Lo Estrin Fe, I couldn’t get passed the fact I spotted all month and it was causing me migraines. Right now I am on Viorelle, since changing to not take the placebo it seems to be helping for me except when I get my period. Its a sharp pain but I know it would be worse if I was not on birth control. Others, I know A friend that is taking taytulla they have stage 4 endo, they said they like it and helps them. Although I think their doctor also prescribed a ibuprofen or something too. I hope this was helpful. I am sorry, I wish I knew more about those new ones.
