Hi im finding it really hard controlling my enotions one minute angry then crying my eyes out then happy, a proper rollarcoaster..with GnRH it works as a chemical hysterectony so im having menopause, the hot flushes and bight sweats are manageable but being so emotional and stressed sometimes causes flare ups.
A hysterectomy is not a cure for endometriosis. Endo is not a disease of the uterus. Excision with a vetted endometriosis EXCISION specialist is our only chance.
If you have adenomyosis, a hysterectomy will cure that. However, remaining endo must be excised.
Have you joined Nancy's Nook Endometriosis Education on FB? Please join and read everything. There is also a list of vetted international endometriosis EXCISION specialists.
Please do NOT have a hysterectomy before joining Nancy's Nook and seeing a Nook surgeon.
I had to just go with it when I took Synarel. Your body will acclimate. If it doesn't, you can always not get another injection.
A local hospital performed my surgery last year but im no longer with them as the neglected me and my dr referred me to birmingham womens hospital and i am in the care of a proffessor. Im using GnRH prostap to shut down my ovaries (its a chemical hysterectomy) and to see if that reduces pain, which it has,im no longer of regular morphine.i can walk around/bend for alot longer periods of times. I 100% know it wont cure me but at the same time i feel the best i have been in years since taking this injection.
I know i wont be pain free but i will be in alot less pain and will be able to go back to work play with my children take them on walks x
Did you have excision?
Please know GnRH agonists are bandaids on endo. They don't prevent growth of the disease.
Who performed your surgery?
Hi thank you for your reply.πYes i know its not a cure but it is a treatment, by taking GnRH i have noticed a massive improvement, which the gyneo was looking for. I have seen a endometriosis specialist.i had surgery before and it didnt control the horrendous pain for very long.x
