I was diagnosed through ultrasound and also internal examinations apparently with adenomyosis the uterus looks and feels 'bulky' xx

I was diagnosed via ultrasound (apparently it makes your uterus look globular) and it was verified during my laparoscopic surgery to remove my endometriosis. They did not need to remove my uterus. I will say that I probably had 10 ultrasounds before anyone told me I had adenomyosis. It was funny because I was at a teaching hospital and there was a new radiologist being trained by a senior radiologist. The new radiologist actually said, "Why does her uterus look like that?!" during the ultrasound so it must have been really obvious.

the test to officially diagnose you is a hysterectomy, but there are signs of it on ultrasounds or laposrcopy so the doctor can assume you have it.
