I must agree with the acupuncture recommendation. With a gifted Chinese doctor, they can help with all of it. Check for credentials and patient ratings. They usually use a multi pronged approach with something of this magnitude. Good luck.

Sorry to hear of your struggles. Ive read all the clinical guidelines for managing endometriosis and fertility from several countries, as well as the world concensus countries (because I felt left in the dark so realised I had to do my own research). From what Ive learned, a second laprascopy does not improve your chances and may even worsen your chances because of scarring from the actual surgery. IUI is not recommended for stage 3&4. IVF is recommended, but obviously a huge expense and decision. I would either do everything you can to manage symptoms (acupuncture, dietary control of inflammation, healing the gut with a functional practitioner) while trying naturally, or go to IVF - possibly dependent on your AMH levels and how fed up you’re feeling. I would also recommend looking into Mercier Therapy regardless of which route you take - 83% success rate of pregnancy within one year! Good luck!!

All i can answer for you is that my endometriosis spread even after excision within 6 months time. I have a feeling your endo may have also spread/came back. :( Im so sorry youre dealing with all this!

Thank you SitariLyra, I am currently with a Fertility specialist who is an endo specialist too. He did my first lap and told me that the chances of it coming back was minimal, hence the way I posed my question. Now I am more confused :-)

He has basically left me with the choice between the lap and ivf saying that both are good options, the lap being more invasive but IVF offering the better fertility result although more expensive.
