I was diagnosed with Endo back in 2015 and I've
always seen a regular OB/GYN. Im on a 3 month
birth control pill to help manage my symptoms and
for the most part it helps. I was diagnosed through
a biopsy after having my appendix removed. I

I have no clue what stage Endo I have. I'm debating
on seeing an Endo specialist because the nearest
one is over an hour way. I'm happy with my current

Hi! I think getting a specialist involved now is a good idea! Even if you don’t need anything from them now, they’ve got a baseline for you and you’ve got a contact if there are concerns in the future. My recommendation would be to start tracking your cycles, (kindara is an awesome app) and do some ovulation tests and maybe get hormonal bloodwork throughout the cycle to start getting an idea of whether or not your cycles are normal. Also a good prenatal and diet… “mastering your fertility” is an awesome informative podcast and “real food for pregnancy” is a great book! You may already do these things but I didn’t know I had endo before we started trying to conceive and have had a very lengthy heartbreaking road, so if i can help someone else be more prepared for early success then maybe you can have a short and sweet journey to motherhood!
Thank you! I did find an REI and endo specialist. Im going to start with the endo specialist first.
I have a regular OB/GYN & also saw an REI(reproductive endocrinology & infertility specialist. My OB did a laparoscopic procedure to confirm endo & see what stage I was in & then sent me to the REI 2 hours from me to remove fibroids, endo, & cysts so that we could start trying to build a family. I highly recommend an REI if you can find a good one near you. Mine was extremely knowledgeable of everything endo/reproductive related. I’m always willing to travel if I find the right dr. My area is very limited.
