At work and in so much pain!!!!!!
Does anyone feel that ibuprofen or Tylenol help??? My doctor keeps telling me to take both at the same time and it doesn't help whatsoever!!!!!!!!! I don't know what to do!!! If you ask for anything stronger they think you're just a drug seeker 😡😡😡 this is so upsetting to me!
Hi I was recently prescribed Visanne by my Dr. The pain almost immediately disappeared, but I started my period a month into taking it and now it's been 10 days straight on my period which is showing no signs of stopping. Any ideas on how to make it stop as it's creating havoc in my day to day life
The period went on for abt 10 days and then stopped. I've been taking Vissane for a couple of months now. Haven't got my subsequent period yet..... hope it stays that way 🤞 Have had a bit of mild… read more

I was taking naproxen 500mg for severe period pain but over time it stopped working so well. I went back to the doctor and he prescribed mefenamic acid and said it’s used to treat endometriosis and should help my pain. After getting home I looked it up and it was saying it was less effective than naproxen but when I got my period again I tried it anyway. It barely did anything and today I went back to the naproxen. I’ve sent an online message asking if I can have anything stronger that’s… read more
I usually take advil or use a heating pad but wondering what works for everyone to get ideas of other things to try
Thank you all for the ideas I’ve changed my diet and exercise which helped in the beginning but lately it’s gotten worse so I’ll definitely try these
I am having nerve pain after having laproscopic surgery in November and my doctor wants me to try this out. Has anyone tried it and has it worked? Are there any bad side effects?
Also: if you're having nerve pain, there's just something about BioFreeze that works great on my arms. This topical used to be available by prescription only, but now it's available OTC for around… read more
Have to wait at least 4 months for my next laparoscopy. I have stage 3 endo and normally luckily only suffer for 2 weeks before, during and after period. My last laparoscopy will be 2 years ago. I have been having increasing amounts of pain this side of the year and since my last period over a week ago (lasting 2 days) I am in constant pain and brown spotting. Can anyone recommend anything other than co-codamol and naproxen cocktail? Really upset and can not bear the thought to be in this much… read more
Have you ever tried acupuncture?
Hi ladies,
I stopped taking Visanne a week ago to try to get pregnant. The pain came back full swing. Everything hurts. There's no way I would even let my husband near me.
I've spoken to my doctor several times and he tells me to take an @advil. @Advil does NOT work. Nothing helps with the pain except morphine (which knocks me out) and Visanne (which I can't get pregnant on).
In desperation, I started taking Visanne again. It will take time to work again but I can't function with this pain. I… read more
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member thank you SO much for your suggestions. I'll ask my doctor about Naproxen. I've actually read about that condition as well. For me, it's more the intense cramping and all… read more
I take morphine, buscpan and paracetamol which still doesn't help with the pain but they can't put me on anything stronger
Does anyone else have skin that is sensitive to touch (without obvious cause)? I don't have this problem all of the time, it comes and goes. But, it is so strange and annoying... Gentle touches on my arms or legs hurt!! It feels kind of like when you touch a bruise (but, there is no bruise...).
Is this one of those weird, unexplained symptoms of endo, or something else?
That's also a REALLY common problem with fibre myalgia! You should ask your doctor about it!
