Did Orilissa Help You?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

So I had bloodwork and ultrasound it didn't show anything but my gyno is positive I have endometriosis. She doesn't think we need further testing and wants to start treatment. I absolutely cannot go on birth control because it makes me mental health worse. So, she has decided to put be on orilissa . Anyone else on it and found it to help? I have been realizing my pain has been getting worse and more often so I'm really hoping it'll do the trick.

I was on orilissa for 2 years and the first year and few months was great. But I did have to up the dosage halfway through. And towards the end my adenomyosis took over more then we thought the orilissa could handle. The only downside of the orilissa for me was the hot flashes I had because it's basically medically induced menopause. But I was able to live a life. I know this reply is a double edged sword but hopefully it helps in some way. Good luck!

Ive been on it for 2 weeks. I have severe endo and had excision surgery. Its been fine so far honestly. I have been on depo for years, bc pills, nothing for a while which caused the need for excision surgery, and now orilissa. I had crazy side effects from the endometriosis, so these are almost unnoticed for me so far. Ill let you know in 2 more weeks how its going. Prayers that it helps you.

I was on it twice. Both times for 6mos. It worked wonders for me! I had to take a low dose estrogen with it to help combat the hot flashes. The down side was I had joint pain in my knees and fingers because it does cause bone loss. I’ve been off of it for about 6 mos now and my joints finally don’t hurt.

I guess since it’s a pill, any adverse side effects should disappear if you feel the need to stop the treatment?? I probably read all the same scary reviews you did lol but for some it was a magic pill…I have high hopes you’ll know what the right decision is for your body :) keep us posted!

Ugh I've heard so many mixed reviews about it and it's scaring me ! I've done the IUD and pills for bc but they were both terrible. I'm almost scared to the point that if I should just deal with the pain 🤦🏽‍♀️

Omg idk if I could do no bacon lmao but I'm pretty much off gluten as well . It's very rare if I do.
